Conqora FAQ · updated 2026-10-16
Conqora is not pay to win, and it will stay that way. This is a design rule, not a marketing line.
Looks. Banners, crowns, territory colours and patterns, building styles, nuke explosions, name colours, badges, a reserved name, clan banners and pictures, and the premium lane of the battle pass (which itself contains only cosmetics and Qora). And "No ads" removes the menu ads.
A strategy game is only worth playing if the best decisions win. If gold or troops were for sale, ranked would be meaningless and every match would be decided before it started. Cosmetics let players who love the game support it and show it off, without taking anything from those who don't pay.
Cosmetics are designed not to give information or visibility advantages: territory colours are chosen to stay distinct, name colours keep a dark outline for readability, and nuke explosions show the same blast radius whatever their style.
Ads appear only in the main menu, never in a match. One purchase removes them for good.

The only column that changes is how you look. Everything that wins matches is identical.
Ranked uses a skill rating that starts at 1000 and moves with every result. If anything in the store changed troops, gold or speed, that rating would measure spending rather than skill. Because every player in a ranked match has exactly the same tools, climbing from Bronze to Grandmaster depends on your opening, your economy, your timing and your decisions. Read more in how ranked works.
If you're looking for an edge, these are where it really comes from, and none of them cost anything:
If you enjoy Conqora and want to help keep the servers running, the options are all cosmetic:
Or just play and bring friends; that helps too.
When you try a new free game, a few questions tell you quickly whether money buys power. Can you buy the main resource (here, gold or troops)? Can you skip timers or cooldowns? Are some units, weapons or maps locked behind a purchase? Does a paid item change numbers, such as damage, range or speed? In Conqora the answer to every one of those is no. Gold comes from land, trade ships, trains and hotspots; troops regrow on their own; silo and bomber cooldowns are the same for everyone; and every map and mode is open from your first match.
No. The premium lane contains cosmetics and Qora only. XP comes from playing matches, the same for everyone. See the battle pass.

No. Blast radius is set by the weapon (Atom Bomb, Hydrogen Bomb, MIRV), not the explosion style. See how nukes work.
