This policy explains what information Conqora ("we", "the game", conqora.io) collects when you play, why, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws.

Account information. If you create an account: your username, a securely hashed password (we never store or see the password itself), and your profile choices such as flag, banner, avatar and other cosmetics. If you play as a guest, we create a guest profile with the name and flag you pick. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (running your account).
Email address (optional). If you add an email address or sign in with Google, we store it to let you recover your account (password reset) and to confirm it is yours. We send only these account emails; no newsletters. Emails are sent through Resend, Inc. (USA), which processes the address and the message on our behalf. Legal basis: contract (account recovery), at your request.
Sign in with Google. If you choose "Continue with Google", Google tells us your Google account ID, email address and name so we can create or link your account. We do not get your password or access to anything else in your Google account. Google's own privacy policy applies to the sign-in step. Legal basis: contract, at your request.
Game data. Your matches, results, ranks, XP, Qora (the in-game currency), items you own, clan membership and clan chat messages, friends, inbox messages, maps you publish in the map editor, and reports you send or that are sent about you. Legal basis: contract; for moderation and reports, our legitimate interest in a safe game.
Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and basic connection details, used to run the game, prevent cheating and abuse, limit repeated requests, and keep the service secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security and fair play.
Purchases. Real-money purchases (Qora packs, "No ads") are sold by Lemon Squeezy, LLC (USA) as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, billing country and email on its own checkout page under its privacy policy; we never see your card or PayPal details. We receive a confirmation with the item bought, the amount, the order number and the email used at checkout, which we keep for accounting and to deliver and, where needed, refund the purchase. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation (tax and accounting law).
We do not ask for or need your real name, date of birth or postal address to play.
We use one session cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember settings such as language, sound and graphics options. These are strictly necessary for the game to work and need no consent. Advertising cookies are described below.
Conqora shows ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it (the EU, UK and Switzerland) we ask for your consent before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used; you can change or withdraw that choice at any time with "Privacy choices" at the bottom of the main menu. Accounts with "No ads" see no ads and load no advertising code.
Our servers are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (EU). Encrypted backups of the game database are taken daily and kept for 14 days, so deleted data can remain in a backup for up to 14 days before it is gone for good. Google (advertising and sign-in), Resend (account emails) and Lemon Squeezy (payments) are based in the USA and process data there under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where they are certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Other players see your username, flag, cosmetics, game stats, clan and public maps. Quick public games show a player count only until the match starts. We share data with service providers only as needed to run the game: Hetzner (hosting), Google (advertising and optional sign-in), Resend (account emails) and Lemon Squeezy (payments), or when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
Account and game data: while your account exists. Guest profiles: removed after 90 days without play. Server and security logs: up to 30 days. Reports and moderation records: 12 months after they are closed, so repeat behaviour can be seen. Chat messages: until the clan deletes them or 12 months, whichever is first. Purchase records: as long as accounting law requires (in Romania up to 10 years). Accounts inactive for 24 months may be deleted.
Use "Delete account" in the main menu at any time. Your account, items, Qora, ranks, clan membership, friends and inbox are removed immediately; match results stay in other players' histories without your name. You can also email us and we will delete it within 30 days.
Conqora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Contact us at the address above; we answer within one month. If you think we have handled your data unlawfully you can complain to a data protection authority; in Romania that is ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
Passwords are stored hashed, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to the servers is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you as the law requires.
We may update this policy; material changes are announced in the game and the date at the top shows the latest version.
