Own 80% of the land (95% as a team) or hold the most when the time runs out. Everyone starts as a dot, and nations and bots fill the rest of the map.
Starting
Pick a spawn on the coast or away from strong nations. Your troops grow by themselves, fastest at around 40% of your maximum, so spend them: an army sitting at full strength grows nothing.
Attacking
Click land next to your border to attack it. Attacks take troops from you and fight the defender's troops tile by tile. Taking land from a strong player costs far more than taking empty land.
The attack ratio slider is the share of your troops each attack sends. 20% keeps a reserve at home, 100% is all in.
Click across water to send a boat. Boats land anywhere on the coast, follow rivers inland, and can be sunk by warships.
Defenders fight back on the border: don't leave your own border empty while you push.
Troops and gold
Your max troops grow with land and with Cities (+250K each level). Troop regrowth and gold income rise with the land you own.
Gold comes from land, trade ships from your Ports, and trains from your Factories. Gold buys buildings, ships and bombs.
Prices rise with every building of the same kind you own. Upgrades (middle click) make one building stronger instead.
Buildings
City — raises your max troops.
Port — sends trade ships to other ports for gold (more ports, bigger payouts) and builds Warships and Carriers.
Factory — links to your cities and ports by rail. Trains earn gold, and trains to allies earn the most. A higher-level factory runs longer trains.
Defense Post — land within 30 tiles is five times harder to take and your attacks there move faster.
Missile Silo — launches Atom Bombs, Hydrogen Bombs and MIRVs. One launch, then a cooldown.
SAM Launcher — shoots down nukes and bombers that fly over its range (80% hit chance).
Military
Warship — patrols the sea, sinks boats and captures trade ships. Click it, then the sea, to move it.
Nukes — Atom Bomb: small blast. Hydrogen Bomb: huge blast. MIRV: splits into many warheads over the target. Blasts kill troops, wreck buildings and leave fallout nobody can grow on.
Aircraft Carrier — built at a Port (one for every 3 port levels). Air Raid sends a bomber to destroy one building near the coast, Nuke Bomber drops an atom bomb.
Diplomacy
Alliances last 5 minutes and can be renewed. Allies can't attack each other, share vision and earn more from trade.
Breaking an alliance marks you as a traitor: your defence is halved and your attacks slow down for a while, and others see it.
Embargo a player to stop trading with them. Donate troops or gold to an ally. Mark a target so your allies see who to hit.
Quick chat and emojis reach everyone or one player. Report abusive players from their window.
Hotspots mode
Some quick games run with hotspots: gold mines and oil fields scattered over the map. Holding a gold mine pays extra gold, holding an oil field boosts your troops. A hotspot is destroyed after three nukes land on it, so expect fights, and fallout, around them.
Tips
Expand fast into empty land early and fight players later.
Build a City and a Port first, then Defense Posts on the borders you can't afford to lose.
Keep your ratio low when a strong neighbour is next door: a failed attack hands them your troops.
Watch the leaderboard: whoever nears 80% is everybody's problem.
