The online strategy game where nukes decide the war
In short: Conqora is a free real-time strategy game where nuclear weapons are part of every endgame: atom bombs, hydrogen bombs, MIRVs and nuke bombers against SAM launchers. Build an empire, then decide when the world is ready for the button.
A blast kills troops, destroys buildings, warships and carriers, and leaves fallout: land that grows no troops and slows every attack across it for a long time.
Air defence that matters
SAM Launchers shoot down nukes and bombers flying through their range. Strategy lives in the gaps:
Press T to draw every SAM range on the map.
With the overlay on, your nuke preview turns orange when the target is inside enemy SAM cover.
An air raid from your carrier can destroy a SAM right before your real launch.
Against a MIRV each SAM gets roughly one shot, so it takes a ring of SAMs to blunt one.
Nuke bombers that hunt fleets
An aircraft carrier can send a Nuke Bomber. Aim it at or near an enemy warship or carrier and the bomber locks on and follows the ship until it releases its bomb. Naval powers can no longer simply sail out of the blast.
Nukes and diplomacy
A nuke that hits an ally's land or kills their troops breaks the alliance and marks you as a traitor. So the most important nuclear decision is often not where, but who sees it coming. Mark the leader as a target, coordinate with allies, and launch together.
When to press the button
A border has stalled: an atom bomb on the defense posts opens it.
The leader passes 60%: a hydrogen bomb on their core, with allies attacking at the same moment.
An enemy fleet blockades you: a nuke bomber on the carrier group.
Someone nears 80%: the MIRV is the answer.
Prefer it without?
Some quick games roll the No nukes modifier for a conventional war, and private lobbies let you switch nukes off.
