Conqora FAQ · updated 2026-10-16
Yes, Conqora is free, and not in the "free trial" or "free until level 10" sense. Every part of the game that decides who wins is free for everyone, forever.
No. You can play quick games and single player as a guest in seconds: pick a name and a flag and you are in. A free account (email and password, or Google sign-in) adds ranked play, clans, friends, a persistent level and battle pass progress, and keeps the cosmetics you collect. Creating one takes about ten seconds and costs nothing.
Two ways, and neither affects a match:
No, and it never will be. A player who has spent nothing has exactly the same troops, gold, buildings and weapons as a player who has bought every item. Read is Conqora pay to win? for the full answer.
No energy system, no timers that you pay to skip, no loot boxes and no paid continues. Leaving a match costs nothing; joining the next one costs nothing. If you buy something by mistake, the refund policy explains how to request a refund from the Purchases tab in the store.
The same free game runs on PC, Mac, Chromebook, Linux, Android and iPhone, in the browser. There is no paid app version with extra content. See can I play on my phone?
Play Conqora freeThe simplest way to see what money does and does not do in Conqora is to put both side by side.
| Part of the game | Free player | Player who bought items |
|---|---|---|
| Troops, gold income, troop growth | Same | Same |
| Buildings and their prices | Same | Same |
| Warships, carriers, air raids, bombers | Same | Same |
| Atom bombs, hydrogen bombs, MIRVs | Same | Same |
| Maps and modes | All | All |
| Ranked queues | All three (with a free account) | All three |
| Clans | Join any; found one for 1,000 Qora | Same |
| Banners, crowns, territory colours, nuke explosions | Free battle pass rewards and flags | Wider choice |
| Menu ads | Shown in the main menu only | Removed with the one-time "No ads" purchase |
Everything in the left column that decides a match is identical to the right column. The differences are how your name, banner and territory look.
Every season (Season 1 is called Iron Dawn) has a battle pass with 50 tiers, each needing 500 XP, so a full pass is 25,000 XP. The free lane pays Qora and items as you climb. You earn XP from every match:
A worked example: you play a public game, last a good while, finish above 8 players and don't win. That is 50 + up to 100 + 200 = up to 350 XP from one match. Win it and add 100 more. A few evenings of regular play move you through a good number of tiers without spending anything.
The premium lane is unlocked once per season with Qora, and it pays out every premium tier you have already reached, so there is no pressure to buy it early. Season items are exclusive to their season, but none of them affects play. More on the battle pass page.
People often search for "free strategy games no download" because they are on a device they don't control: a school Chromebook, a work laptop, a family tablet. Conqora fits those situations well:
Parents can read is Conqora safe for kids? for the chat and safety side: matches use quick chat phrases and emojis only, with no free text.
No. Nuke explosion cosmetics change how the blast looks, not its size. An Atom Bomb has an inner radius of 12 and an outer radius of 30 tiles for everyone.
No. Spawns are picked by you on the map, and ranked rating moves only with wins and losses.
There are no ads during matches to begin with. The two ad slots are in the main menu, and the one-time purchase removes them from your account. See how to remove ads.
No. 1M, 5M and 25M starting gold are game modifiers that apply to every player in that match (territories don't get it). Nobody can buy them for themselves.
Yes. It runs in the phone's browser with a touch interface, at no cost, and there is no paid app version.
Qora packs are priced in euro with VAT included, and you pay in a popup window with card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay or local methods. If you try to buy something without enough Qora, the store takes you to the packs. See what is Qora?
The game is built around free play with cosmetic-only purchases, and nothing that changes the outcome of a match can be bought.
