A clan is a group of players with a shared tag, banner, chat and history. It's where regular players find teammates for duo and trio, and where clan wars will be fought.
Open Clans from the main menu, choose a name and a 2–4 letter tag, and pay 1,000 Qora. The founder is the leader; the leader promotes officers, accepts or removes members and buys clan items. Anyone with an account can search for a clan and apply, or be invited by a member.
Your clan tag shows in brackets before your name in every match and lobby. The leader can buy a clan avatar (the clan's picture everywhere it is shown) and a clan banner from the Clan tab of the store; the clan window and the clan's row on the leaderboard take the banner's look and colours. Clan items are bought once with Qora and belong to the clan, not to the player who paid.
Clan chat is in the clan window and works from the menu and between matches. Every member's match XP also counts as clan XP, so the clan level reflects how much its members play. Clan XP and the clan leaderboard are how clans compare themselves before wars arrive.
Clan wars are scheduled clan-versus-clan matches with live spectating: the two clans field teams, everyone else can watch from the clan window, and the result counts on the clan leaderboard. They open shortly after launch; founding a clan now means you have a roster ready when they do.
